Dr. Rahul Kumar Amte, MD is a Senior Consultant, Department of critical care medicine at AIG hospitals, Hyderabad. Prior Joining AIG Hospitals, he had worked as an Associate staff physician, at Cleveland Clinic, Abu Dhabi for 2 years and prior to that worked as a consultant intensivist in Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad, India for 5 years. Prior to that, Dr. Amte worked as Junior Consultant for 3 years and 6 months at Apollo Hospital Hyderabad, one of the largest chains of hospitals in India.
With a medical degree from Nagpur University India, Dr. Amte had been trained in Anaesthesia at Sir J.J groups of hospitals and Grant Medical College, Mumbai India, one of the oldest and prestigious hospitals in India. Then completed an Indian diploma in critical care at K.E.M Hospital, Pune India and a European diploma in Critical care awarded by the European society of critical care medicine. Dr. Amte had 13 years of experience in the field of Critical Care, with a special interest in Neurocritical care, Postoperative critically ill patients, Acute poisoning, Acute Renal Failure, Polytrauma. His research covers the field of Quality Improvement in Critical Care and has published in journals and presented in International Conferences. He is keenly focused on Use of Ultrasound in Management of critically ill patients and Critical Care Nutrition.
Dr. Amte was a teaching faculty for critical care fellows, Postgraduate anaesthesia Residents, BSc and MSc nursing students, Respiratory in various tertiary care hospitals in India. Presently, he is a teaching faculty for DNB Critical Medicine in AIG hospitals, Gachibowli, Hyderabad.
